Easton Police Capt. Richard Doyle said the numerous sightings on Thursday and Friday are probably the same bear that lives in the area and is just traveling around.
On Thursday the department received five calls of bear sighting and another one on Friday.
"We don't respond to the different sightings unless the bear is aggressive or there is something unusual," said Doyle. "We tell residents to take care, don't approach, etc."
Residents are reminded not to leave garbage cans within reach of bears and to avoid leaving birdfeed in yards.
Officials with the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection said 20 bear sightings have been reported in Easton between June 12, 2017, and May 21, 2018. To report a sighting to the state to be recorded, click here.
